VarioClaim Terms of Service
Last updated 3 November 2026.
These terms are an agreement between the business that subscribes to
VarioClaim (the "customer business", "you") and
Aydan John Bonaccorsi (ABN 69 417 516 028) ("we", "us"). By setting up a business in the
app, or by using an account the owner created for you, you agree to them.
Contact: [email protected].
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also
applies to the app itself. If the two differ, these terms apply between you
and us, and Apple's terms apply between you and Apple.
1. What VarioClaim is
VarioClaim is a business tool for trade subcontractors. Supervisors record
extra work on site with photos and a description; the owner prices it, sends a
purchase-order request to the head contractor, tracks the PO, and marks the
work invoiced. It is not legal, contractual or accounting advice, and it does
not replace the notice requirements in your own contracts.
2. Accounts
- The business owner who sets up the business is responsible for it, for the
accounts they create for staff, and for what staff do in the app.
- Keep sign-in details private. Tell us straight away if you think an
account has been misused.
- You must be legally able to enter a business contract and use the app for
a real business.
3. Subscription, free trial and cancelling
- VarioClaim is a monthly subscription bought through the App Store, at the
price shown in the app before you subscribe. New businesses get a free trial;
if you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription starts.
- Apple handles payment, renewal and refunds. The subscription renews each
month until you cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → your name →
Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- If the subscription ends, the app stops letting you add new work. Your data
is kept for 30 days so you can resubscribe or ask for an export, then it is
deleted (see section 6).
- We will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before a price change
takes effect.
4. Your data
- Everything your business puts into VarioClaim (photos, descriptions,
prices, PO documents, diary entries, contacts) belongs to you. You give us
permission to store and process it only to run the app for you.
- Each business has its own separate database, hosted in Sydney,
Australia. How we handle personal information is set out in our
Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload,
including photos of sites and the contact details of the head contractor's
staff.
- Site Diary entries cannot be edited or deleted from the app. That is
deliberate, so they can be relied on as a record.
5. AI-written text and amounts
The app uses AI to turn a supervisor's words into a description of works
and an email, and to read PO documents. AI can get things wrong. Check
every description, price, PO number and email before you send it or invoice
from it. You are responsible for what you send to a head contractor
or put in your accounts.
6. Ending the service
- You can close your business at any time from the app (Settings →
Account). Supervisors can delete their own account the same way.
- When a business closes, we keep its data for 30 days so it can be exported,
then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep something
longer.
- We may suspend or close a business that doesn't pay, misuses the app, or
breaks these terms. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you first and give you a
chance to fix it and to export your data.
7. Fair use
Don't use VarioClaim to break the law, to send spam, to upload anything you
don't have the right to share, or to try to get into another business's data
or our systems.
8. Connected services
If you connect MYOB or Xero, the app sends invoices to the account you
connect, as drafts for you to review. Those services have their own terms, and
we aren't responsible for them being available.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep VarioClaim available and backed up, but we can't promise it
will never be interrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features. If
we remove a feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we can.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian
Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Apart from those rights, and to the extent
the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a
variation claim that is lost, late or rejected, lost profit or lost data;
and
- our total liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid
in the 3 months before the claim, or resupplying the service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new date above and, for a
significant change, tell you in the app at least 30 days before it applies.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
